Trail mix

Trail Mix

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

  • 2 cups of mixed nuts, any blend of your choice
  • 2 cups of M&M's (any flavor you prefer, peanut butter is my favorite) or chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of dried fruit (the kids love raisins, and I like banana chips

Mix all ingredients into a bowl or bag and you are ready to enjoy!

There are so many varieties of trail mix! It’s great for kids when they're craving something sweet and salty, and they feel like they're getting away with eating something fun. With healthy ingredients like nuts and fruit, there's plenty of protein and other good-for-you nutrients. I love mini chocolate chips in my trail mix, but if you travel and it gets hot in the sun or car, they melt fast. That's why M&Ms are a great choice because they can stand the heat better.
