Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 cup canned pitted tart cherries
  • 2/3 cup plus 6 TBSP sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 TBSP cold butter
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring cherries and 2/3 cup sugar to a boil. Remove from the heat; set aside.

In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and remaining sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened. Spread into a greased 6-cup baking dish; pour cherries over the top.

Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and edges are golden brown. Serve warm.


Cherry cobbler is a favorite summertime dessert! The kids love to eat this warm out of the oven with either some ice cream or homemade whip cream! This is a super fast and simple dessert that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!
