Applesauce Cake

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 ½ tsps baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsps salt
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp clove
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 eggs


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a bundt pan. Combine all ingredients and mix until all incorporated;. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes or until done

This is a perfect treat for a Sunday Brunch! Sometimes I like to saute peeled and chopped apples and toss them into the pan before the batter. It makes it like an upside-down cake!
