Loaded Baked Potato Written By: Shantel Whitford Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes Print Recipe Ingredients 4 large potatoes 4 Tbsp butter 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup bacon bits 1/4 cup chopped green onions 4 Tbsp olive oil Garlic salt and Pepper to taste 4 sheets foil to roll potatoes in Instructions Preheat oven to 375. Wash potatoes and poke two to three times with a fork to help let the steam release while they are cooking. Then take your olive oil and add in your garlic salt and pepper to your desired amount. Next, roll your potatoes in the seasoned oil mixture and then roll each potato in its own sheet of foil. Place potatoes in the oven and let bake until soft, about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the size of your potatoes. Carefully pull out baked potatoes and remove the foil. Make one long slice down the center and two smaller slices horizontal from that one. Now push the two ends and the soft insides of the potato pop open a nice pocket for you to fill with the ingredients of your choice. Try the classic toppings like sour cream, bacon bits, and green onions! Oh, how I love potatoes! Nothing beats a classic, loaded baked potato in my book. Need to feed a crowd of people inexpensively with a meal that everyone can customize? I love how easy this recipe is and yet be so much fun! Hosting a baked potato bar is a simple and sure way to please any crowd. Some of our favorite extra topping combinations are chili, cheese, onions, and sour cream. You could also steam broccoli and cauliflower with cheese and butter to top these off. Taco meat, cheese, olives, onions, and sour cream are a family favorite, and my husband's favorite is with Philly cheesesteak.
